Dr. Ashley Barrineau received her dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and furthered her clinical training in a General Practice Residency at the University of Washington with focus on providing comprehensive care to medically-compromised patients.  Dr. Barrineau returned to her home state of Virginia and practiced as a general dentist prior to specializing in Endodontics at University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry. She prides herself on providing compassionate and quality care to her patients and the community. 

Her research conducted at UCLA has received national recognition as the sole recipient of the 2019 Robert H. Ahlstrom New Investigator Award for Dental Informatics Research.  This award highlights the crucial role dental informatics standards in improving the quality of patient care through use of technology while maximizing patient health and safety.  Her research is a reflection of the collaborative efforts between the Sections of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology and Endodontics at UCLA. 

The needs of her patients remain Dr. Barrineau’s primary concern. She imparts a minimally-invasive approach to conventional surgical and non-surgical endodontic treatments with a focus on the interrelationship between oral and systemic health.  Dr. Barrineau utilizes a combination of the latest treatments and technologies—including GentleWave—to help optimize patient healing and experience.

Dr. Barrineau is also licensed in California and Virginia.  She is a member of several nationally recognized dental associations including the AAE and ADA.  She is a nature enthusiast, and enjoys backpacking, mountain biking, and running in her free time.
